Important information

  • Students must log in to the PeopleSoft student portal from the dates noted above to receive the registration link.
  • Students who require academic advisors must register from 19 January 2026, when the advisors are available for consultations.
  • For international studentspre-registration clearance (i.e., visa, medical aid, and fee checks) will be completed remotely, before academic registration.
  • All students must be registered by the deadline of 13 February 2026. Students who register late may face a late registration penalty of R2 000.

Important information

  • On the 19 December, the MOU system will be activated for all students. Due to the time it takes for the MOU to be approved between the student, supervisor and delegated authority (HOD and Deputy Dean), students should begin the process two weeks before they plan to register.
  • Students must log in to their PeopleSoft student portal from the dates noted above to receive the registration link. Supervisor and Head of Department approval for the MOU/PPA will be completed online within the registration system.
  • For international students, pre-registration clearance (i.e., visa, medical aid, and fee checks) will be completed remotely before academic registration.
  • All students must be registered by the deadline of 13 February 2026. Students who register late may face a late registration penalty of R2 000, and will experience delays in accessing the Amathuba portal and course materials.
  • 12:00 on 16 February 2026: Deadline for submission of theses/dissertations without having to re-register.
