The conference travel grant application form is used to apply for funding to attend a conference where one is presenting research.

Visit the UCT’s Research portal and login to eRA. Select the option to complete a New Project Application / Approval Request, and then select the Conference Travel Grant application.

Enter project information into the Key Information and Conference details into the relevant fields. Attach all necessary supporting documentation.

Complete the declaration section.

Send the form on to the Head of Department for approval.

Head of Department will enter relevant information about whether the application is supported or not supported, and will then send the application on to the Research Office.

Once the application is received by the Research Office, it will processed, assessed and considered. When a decision has been made, the applicant will be notified.
