Twitter timeline embed issue
An ongoing issue has been identified concerning embedded Twitter timelines. Users who are not logged into Twitter on their current browser are likely to see these embedded feeds appear as broken.
This problem, which has been ongoing for approximately a month, appears to be related to an issue with Twitter's site. It's important to clarify that the origins of this issue are not within our platform and are therefore, regrettably, beyond our immediate control.
In light of this situation, we have suggested several temporary measures to mitigate its impact:
- Remove the feed: If the broken image disrupts the visual continuity of your site, consider removing the feed entirely.
- Replace the feed with a link to your Twitter page: While it may not provide the same immediacy as an embedded timeline, a simple link or button redirecting visitors to your Twitter page allows them to stay updated with your posts.
- Leave the feed in place: Should a majority of your visitors typically log into Twitter, the feed may be left as it is. Note, however, that new visitors or those not frequently logged into Twitter may encounter the broken feed.
- Remove the feed and add it back later: Another alternative is to remove the feed at this time, to reintroduce it once Twitter has addressed the issue.
These are, admittedly, not ideal solutions, but they are pragmatic measures designed to uphold a seamless user experience until the problem is resolved.
We appreciate your understanding in this matter and will continue to provide relevant information as it becomes available.
