• Fulbright Scholar Programme

    Fulbright African Research Scholar Programme: enables a South African university faculty or research institute professional to conduct research in any discipline at a US academic or research institution for three to nine months.

    Fulbright U.S Specialist Programme: The Fulbright Specialist Programme promotes linkages between U.S. academics and/or professionals with their counterparts at South African universities and institutions.

    Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Programme: U.S. institutions of higher education may submit proposals to host Fulbright lecturers from abroad for one or both semesters in an academic year.

    Study of the U.S Institutes for Scholars: Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) for scholars and secondary educators are post-graduate level academic programmes for mid-career foreign scholars, faculty, practitioners, and secondary educators whose purpose is to strengthen curricula and to improve the teaching about the United States in academic institutions abroad.

The fellowships support dissertation research on peace, security, and development topics.
