Creative Outputs and Innovations

 

 

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) has developed a policy on the evaluation of recognition of creative outputs and innovations. The purpose of this policy is to recognise and reward quality creative outputs and innovations produced by public higher education institutions.  The policy can be found here.

Innovations

  • Plant breeders rights (PBR) 

UCT Research Contracts & Innovation (RC&I) confirm the data associated with patents that have been granted over a rolling three-year period and load the information and supporting documents on the DHET’s ROSS platform. Whilst RC&I may contact inventors to confirm certain details, IP Creators are not required to make a personal submission.
