Professor Shose Kessi

Professor Shose Kessi was appointed dean of the Faculty of Humanities in November 2019, after serving as acting dean from 1 March 2019.

Professor Suki Goodman

Professor Suki Goodman was appointed as the dean of the Faculty of Commerce from 1 January 2022. She served as head of department for the School of Management Studies from 2018 until she was appointed dean. Before that, she headed the section of Organisational Psychology from 2010 to 2017.

Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe

Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe is a businesswoman and philanthropist who started her career in medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). She worked in various public hospitals in South Africa as well as at the Medical College of Virginia in the United States. Together with her husband, Dr Patrice Motsepe, she founded the Motsepe Foundation in 1999, and in 2013 they became the first couple from Africa to join The Giving Pledge.

Mr Mughtar Parker

Mughtar Parker has been appointed as the executive director of Properties and Services with effect from 1 July 2018. Mughtar has a BCom degree in accounting from the University of the Western Cape and two diplomas from Corenet Global in Atlanta, USA. Both Corenet's Diplomas entitles him to hold the professional designations of Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) and Senior Leader of Corporate Estate (SLCE), making him the first person to hold such designation within Sub-Saharan Africa.

Associate Professor Lionel Green-Thompson

Associate Professor Lionel Green-Thompson was appointed dean and took up the role from 15 March 2020.

He has held multiple roles at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), including being the assistant dean for Teaching, Learning and Undergraduate Affairs in the Faculty of Health Sciences. He was also the clinical coordinator for the MBBCh degree in the Centre for Health Science Education from 2004, during which time he engaged in numerous student development initiatives, including the supervision of MMed (Anaesthesia) students.

Dr Linda Mtwisha

Dr Linda Mtwisha was appointed executive director from 1 October 2020.

Dr Mtwisha has joined UCT from the University of Johannesburg, where she was the senior director of strategic initiatives and administration.
