Ms Tshidi Mokgabudi
Tshidi Mokgabudi is a chartered accountant with 32 years of accounting, auditing and advisory experience within the public and private sectors. She was a member of the Audit Commission during President Mandela’s administration and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants’ (SAICA) ethics committee. She served on the University of the Witwatersrand’s Council and lectured at Vista University (now University of Johannesburg).
She is the founder of the Global Women Corporate Directors (WCD) South Africa Chapter, a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD), a member of the Association of Black Accountants of South Africa (ABASA) and served on the founding board of directors of ABASA.
Mokgabudi held various senior positions at KPMG, and was a board member of the following companies:
- Financial Services Board: non-executive director
- South African Reserve Bank: non-executive director and chairperson of the Remuneration Committee
- Armscor: non-executive director and chairperson of the Audit Committee
- Transnet: non-executive director and chairperson of the Audit Committee
- South African Airways (SAA): non-executive director and chairperson of the Audit Committee
- Global Women Corporate Directors: chairperson of South African chapter
- International Women’s Forum: non-executive director and chairperson of the Audit Committee.
She has the following qualifications:

- BSc(Hons) (Unisa, 1987)
- BAccSc (Unisa 1985)
- BComm in Economics and Industrial Psychology (Unisa, 1978).
