Ms Innocentia Pule
Innocentia Mmule Pule is a chartered accountant and entrepreneur, who further holds a global executive development qualification from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and a transition to general management certificate from the Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD).
She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of an investment and consulting company, Mwaloni Holdings, which specialises in strategic finance, procurement and risk management advisory. Mwaloni also aims to strategically make investments in sustainable women and youth owned entities – mainly in the green economies, education, IT and agriculture sectors.
She is an experienced and driven professional with both local and international working exposure in finance and risk management advisory. She has held executive positions for over 15 years, mainly within the financial services sector, notably Nedbank Limited and the National Empowerment Fund (NEF).
She joined Nedbank as a finance executive within the corporate cluster, whereafter she was offered an executive position as a head of finance for Nedbank Corporate Banking, a position she held for over six years.
She served as a member of the audit and risk committee of NEF until she joined the NEF as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), responsible for finance, strategic planning and performance monitoring, supply chain management and IT units of the organisation. In her executive role, she also served as trustee of the NEF.
She has independently contracted with organisations including Small Enterprise Funding Agency (sefa), specifically in procurement and risk management advisory; and Postbank where she held an interim CFO position for over a year.
Innocentia serves as an independent non-executive director on the boards of a logistics entity and a property management entity, where she further serves on the audit and risk, social and ethics and remuneration committees.
Innocentia has recently been appointed as a trustee of the Volkswagen B-BBEE Initiatives Trust.
She recently retired from the board of the South African Space Agency (SANSA), where she served as chair of the audit and risk committee.
Until its delisting, she served on the board of a JSE-listed logistics company, where she also served as a member of the audit and risk and remuneration committees, and chaired the social and ethics committee.
