Mr Sandile Monoane

SRC: Representative

Sandile Monoane is a holder of a Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSci) degree from the University of Cape Town, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.

He is passionate about student governance, politics and law. He has previously led in the Faculty of Humanities as an academic chair for social sciences; he has been the deputy chair for the undergraduate academic sub-council. In these roles he has worked to ensure that student interests are well represented.

He has been the secretary general of the UCT Students’ Representative Council (SRC). He is an all-rounded student who volunteers in non-profit organisations. In line with the values of giving back, he has led in mentorship structures at the residence level for over three years.
