This year, #WorldIPDay is focused on Intellectual Property and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future. It looks at how young inventors, creators and entrepreneurs can use intellectual property (IP) rights to achieve their goals, generate income, create jobs, tackle local and global challenges and support community and national development.

In this online event, University of Cape Town's Research Contracts and Innovation talked to researchers at different stages of their journey to commercialisation along with UCT support staff and an IP legal expert.
