The Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CiTi) in partnership with the Woodstock Bandwidth Barn and Telkom FutureMakers, has announced that applications for the 2016 Innotech programme are open. Applications for the programme are open until 9am on 20 May 2016.

Innotech is a Bandwidth Barn/Telkom FutureMakers initiative that runs from June 2016-March 2017 and focuses on web and mobile applications development, software development and design, as well as gaming. This initiative seeks to stimulate the creation of new businesses as well as support the expansion and growth of existing companies through the uptake of technology and innovation capability.

CiTi was founded as a non-profit organisation in 1998 by a broad group of industry stakeholders and inspired citizens. Their vision is to develop Cape Town as a global technology cluster and a vibrant hub for innovation that is a significant contributor to economic growth. The Bandwidth Barn is a CiTi operated initiative that has been recognised as Africa’s leading and most established incubator and accelerator.

If selected for the InnoTech programme, you will receive professionally serviced office space and connectivity, mentorship and business training, and, ultimately, access to markets and potential additional funding via Telkom’s Enterprise Development Fund.

You will join a group of some of the Western Cape’s most exciting entrepreneurs and start-ups, committed to realising a better world through ICT.

If you feel you have a great idea for a tech business but need help getting it off the ground, then apply here (https://fs23.formsite.com/TheBarn/form30/index.html?1461330774992) or go to the Innotech website (http://www.citi.org.za/innotech/) to learn more. InnoTech supports black entrepreneurs and black-owned SMMEs, but other candidates looking to form a collaboration with a black-owned business may apply.
