The Western Cape Premier’s Entrepreneurship Recognition Awards 2015

This year marks the third edition of the annual Western Cape Premier’s Entrepreneurship Recognition Awards, which recognizes the achievements and potential of some of the Province’s most exciting entrepreneurs.

The award was created to acknowledge and showcase successful entrepreneurs in order to help build a culture of entrepreneurship in the Western Cape, and in turn support the creation of opportunities by small and medium businesses. The awarded prizes amount to a total of R1.88 million, and are awarded per category. The categories allow for a wide range of entries, of which will be evaluated by a panel of experienced and independent judges.

The categories for entries are as follows:

·         Best Emerging Business

·         Best Established Business

·         Best Innovative Business

·         Best Job-Creating Business

·         Best Emerging Regional Business

·         Business with Global Reach

·         Best Social Enterprise

·         Best Emerging Tourism Business

·         Best Emerging Agro-Processing Business

·         Best Green Business

·         Best Innovative Student Business Idea

·         Best School Business Idea

·         Overall winner: Entrepreneur of the Year

Three finalists per entry will be selected, with the exception of the following categories: Emerging Regional Business; Emerging Tourism Business; Emerging Agro-Processing Business; Innovative Student Business Idea and School Business Idea.
