World Intellectual Property Day: Music and IP

World Intellectual Property (IP) Day is celebrated every year on April 26.  This year’s theme is “Intellectual Property and Music”. Join us as we partner with the South African College of Music, and Von Seidels IP Attorneys, to celebrate this day through a variety of events.

Firstly, Minah Moncho (Senior IP Officer at RCIPS) will speak on UCT Campus Radio about innovation, invention and intellectual property at UCT. Secondly, we have organised an event at the SA College of Music where various speakers will talk about IP in music, media, film and the arts. Lastly, Philip Hoekstra (Principal IP Officer at RCIPS) will present a general talk for post-graduates on innovation, invention and intellectual property at UCT.
