2014 Student Social Venture Programme

The UCT GSB along with other partner organizations are hosting a programme to provide seed capital to social entrepreneurs. Social ventures are the future of our country, building both enterprises and society. A consortium of partners are undertaking to discover, invest in and assist the grow of South Africa’s social venture ideas.

If you think you’re one of South Africa’s leading social entrepreneurs then bring your transformative idea and business plan to the SSVP talent pool. Entrants will participate in a pitching process that will build their knowledge, expose them to funders and eventually give them a global platform at the Global Social Venture Competition hosted by UC Berkley's Haas School of Business. If you think you are one of South Africa's leading social entrepreneurs then bring your transformative idea and business plan to the SSVP talent pool.

Finalists will be sponsored flights and accommodation in Cape Town to present to a panel of social innovation experts, with the winner gaining an entry into the regional round of the GSVC in London.
