WIPO have requested that people across the world become "IP Reporters" highlighting what is going on this their own neighborhood. Its actually interesting to see what is going on / issues in countries across the world. Its certainly an entertaining way of learning more about IP and its impact on ordinary people, especially artists. WIPO also offer useful on-line training resources and courses and also host the database of PCT patent applications in a user-friendly search format. Its a good place to monitor what is happening in terms of patenting in your field as it is a 'funnel' through which most patents that will proceed to multiple country applications will proceed.
