Dr Darlington Sibanda
Darlington is a climate adaptation and development researcher with over fifteen years of experience advancing resilience and sustainable development in vulnerable communities. His work focuses on developing innovative, equitable climate adaptation solutions and evaluating climate actions to inform policy and practice. He is currently the WEF Hoffmann Research Fellow at the Bertha Centre and the African Climate & Development Initiative at the University of Cape Town, and Chair of the Adaptation Network of Southern Africa, a regional platform of over 160 organizations collaborating on climate resilience, knowledge exchange, and policy engagement. Darlington has worked with partners across Africa, North America, and Europe and has supported the Africa Group of Negotiators under the UNFCCC during the recent Conference of the Parties. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and books on climate adaptation and development.
