Ms Boipelo Manoko
Boipelo is an Intellectual Property Specialist with a wealth of experience working with technologies across various disciplines. Her primary responsibilities include identifying, protecting, and contributing to the commercialisation of intellectual property at the University of Cape Town (UCT), which aims to enhance the institution’s research impact and societal benefit.
Boipelo commenced her role at Research Contracts and Innovation in March 2024, following her tenure at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Desmond Tutu Health Foundation (Clinical Research), South African Medical Research Council, North-West University, and Technology Innovation Agency. Her core competencies encompass Intellectual Property Management, Commercialisation, Business Development, and Project Management. Boipelo holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Science from UCT and is pursuing a Doctorate in the same field.
