The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cape Town (UCT) invites applications for the position of Peer Mentor, from students who are registered for a full-time programme in any of the faculties at the university who do not hold an award from this initiative.

The below guidelines will help inform your process of applying for a peer mentor position:

Please read the accompanying Terms of Reference for Peer Mentor applicants before completing an application form.

Applications must be submitted - along with all required supporting documentation - no later than 25 January 2022. See section 6 of the Terms of Reference of the Peer Mentorship Programme document.

Registered students who do not hold an award from this initiative, will be eligible to apply for this peer-to-peer mentorship programme.

Applicants must be in good academic and disciplinary standing at the university.

Applicants must demonstrate leadership capability, personal-management, good communication, adaptability and interpersonal capabilities.

Applicants must remain accessible, committed and engaged throughout the duration of this mentorship programme.
