Sarah-Anne is an experienced venture builder and strategist with over fifteen years of experience advancing social and environmental innovation across more than thirty countries. She brings deep expertise in strategy, operations, and impact management, having worked with organisations spanning higher education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

At the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship's Solution Space, Sarah-Anne supports the design and delivery of social venture programmes that enable early-stage founders to develop and scale impactful solutions. Previously, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Strategy Director at GVI, a global education company, where she led international expansion, global operations, and the creation of new business models integrating impact and financial sustainability. Earlier in her career, she founded and led the University of Cape Town’s Solution Space, an innovation hub that has supported hundreds of ventures and built entrepreneurial capacity across Africa. 

Sarah-Anne holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business and a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins in London.
