S.P.C.C Summer Range Pre-Launch & Black Motion Listening Session
It was a cold drizzly night in the Mother City when we danced away to Black Motion’s new Album tracks at the S.P.C.C new summer range pre-launch party at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cape Town.
The party was an exclusive invite only gathering held at the Top most floor of the Radisson Hotel in an exquisite penthouse that over-looked the Mother City, from the heights of Cape Town’s tallest buildings.
The party was hosted to celebrate the pre-launch of S.P.C.C success throughout the years and also their new upcoming summer range launch.
Keeping us entertained was Dj Fhatuwani all the way from Johannesburg, Soweto, spinning proper Neo-Soul, Old school hip-hop jams, and soulful lounge music.
Black Motion then stepped in & played some great music coming from their 5th Studio Album “MOYA WA TAOLA”, which is available for Pre-Order on ITUNES.
In the Penthouse, S.P.C.C had a space dedicated to showcasing some of the garments that are currently out at retail level by S.P.C.C and enthusiasts could purchase the clothes online.
In an interview with Zak Venter the Founder of S.P.C.C, he said: “The brand was born out of a Frustration of a lack of menswear in South Africa”. This was around June in the year of 2012, and 5 months later in November, the brand was brought to market. S.P.C.C design is driven by a clean, minimalist aesthetic, which can be hard to find.
The party was a great vibe that brought together cultures internationally and locally. Most people seemed to enjoy the provided refreshments & finger foods, as well as the great ambience curated by the entire S.P.C.C team and Black Motion.
S.P.C.C has really done well in establishing itself in South Africa & globally and is now even available at 1 of the biggest retail groups in SA, TFG.
The brand seeks to further increase its footprint worldwide, and continually strengthen it’s great quality, minimalistic clothing design.
