SA Artist Spotlight: Jerry and the Bandits

In this week's SA Artist Spotlight, we're featuring Jerry and the Bandits:

‘Indie with a bit of spice’! The tagline Jerry and the Bandits has coined for themselves. This indie band has been “folkin it up” (as they would say) since 2013, when they graced Jozi with their silky smooth, blues tunes. Their sound is a blend of what a good cup of Rooibos tea, on a Sunday afternoon looks like. Through their blend of a piercing Sax against the sharpness of a rustic guitar, they have created the perfect combination of influences which set the band apart from any others in this genre. And apart from their seriously radical name, their talent and soul is felt within their music. In short, their music presents the same feelings as that of a glooming yellow sunset: warm and welcoming (with a tinge of lingering).
