SA Artist Spotlight: Uno July

In this week’s SA Artist Spotlight, we’re featuring Uno July:

Uno July is Cape Town’s Best Kept Secret and he knows it, which is probably why it’s the name of his 7-track EP.. A former member of hip hip duo Ill Skillz, with Jimmy Flexx, Uno July has now gone on to expand his sound as a solo artist. Even though he has released an EP, he already has 2 albums already under his belt. His new approach to his music is more experimental than the old-school hip hop vibe of Ill Skillz; Uno July’s new offering has even been described as avant-garde.

He’s been a part of the local hip hop scene for a while now but he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
