The Mastercard Foundation Scholars come from countries across Africa, including Botswana, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. They are studying undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the faculties of commerce, engineering and the built environment, health sciences, humanities, law, and science.

Internships

We are committed to finding Mastercard Foundation Scholars internships during their studies so that they gain vital work experience. These internships can take place during the July or December holidays.

We cover travel expenses and provide a living allowance, so there is no cost to you as an employer!

Graduate opportunities

When the Mastercard Foundation Scholars complete their undergraduate or postgraduate programmes, we help them find suitable graduate or entrepreneurship opportunities in their home countries.
