UCT GSB Associate Professor Mignon Reyneke and CWC Manager Claire Barnardo recently attended The Case Centre’s case teaching and writing workshops at London Business School. The Case Centre has the largest and most diverse collection of management teaching cases in the world, including a collection of 66 cases from the UCT GSB.
Workshop highlights included presentations from case teaching experts Professor Angela Lee from Columbia Business School, who shared best practice for successful case teaching, and Associate Professor Martin Kupp from ESCP Europe, who shared his case writing approach and tools in Writing Effective Cases.
"It was inspiring to discuss case teaching and writing methodology with some of the best case experts globally," said Mignon. "I really enjoyed the practical nature of the training. It was a privilege to share our passion for the case teaching method at London Business school.”
Claire and Mignon weren’t the only South Africans in attendance – they met with Dr Prince Sarpong from the University of the Free State.
"The workshops were inspiring as well as practical and hands-on," said Claire. "The Case Centre hosted them in such a professional manner – thanks to Kate Cook and Hannah Blythin for the week."
