Mediator

Lulamile Moses Bango is a Campus Protection Services (CPS) senior at Upper Campus, University of Cape Town (UCT). He holds several leadership positions, including Chairperson and visionary of the Last Hope of Latter Days Christ Ambassadors Non-Profit Organization, Chairperson of the Church Board of United in Christ Pentecostal Church, and Chairperson of the community, he is also an official Marriage Officer and the Employment Equity Representative of P&S at UCT. He completed Grade 12 at the age of 36 and obtained a Diploma in General, Developmental, and Industrial Psychology. Additionally, he completed NQF Levels 4 and 5 in Generic (General Management). Lulamile is highly skilled in mediating family and workplace matters and is always eager to learn new skills. His mediation expertise extends beyond workplace disputes and encompasses a wide range of diverse situations where mediation is required at the UCT.

Mediation experience and style:
Lulamile has recently facilitated mediation in various situations, including one involving parent’s who gave up on their son due to his drug addiction. Additionally, he has mediated disputes within the church and the community. 

He greatly appreciates face-to-face interaction as it proves to be more effective for him. However, he is also open to conducting online mediation through platforms such as Teams.

Areas of interest:
He has a strong interest in mediating workplace challenges, including issues related to racial harassment, gender-based violence, and sexual harassment.
