Janet Butler is willing to provide support and assistance to both students and staff members. She is highly skilled in effectively mediating issues related to gender-based violence, including sexual harassment, racial harassment or discrimination, gender discrimination, sexual diversity, and gender inclusion. Additionally, she is well-versed in resolving workplace conflicts among staff members.
With over three decades of experience as a University of Cape Town (UCT) employee, she recognizes and values the diversity within the community. Through her involvement with lower courts and community intervention programs, she has gained valuable insight into the mediation process. Janet is strongly committed to ensuring justice for all parties involved and strives to achieve fair and impartial outcomes. Drawing from her own personal experiences, she is an unwavering advocate for supporting and guiding individuals who find themselves navigating similar challenges.
