Rebecca (Becky) Maughan-Brown

Rebecca (Becky) Maughan-Brown joined the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2017 as an Operations Manager to the Institute for Democracy, Citizenship, and Public Policy in Africa within the Humanities Faculty. In 2019, she became Operations Manager for the Adolescent Accelerators Research Hub, a unit of the Centre for Social Science Research. Currently, she serves as the Portfolio Research Manager for UCT's research endeavours under the supervision of Assistant Professor Elona Toska. Becky holds a master's degree in Public Health and in Social Work, with a specific focus on maternal and child health policy. After spending four years leading the Department of Student Health Education at Yale University, she relocated from the United States to Cape Town. Becky has accumulated 15 years of experience in health education, project coordination, operations, and research management.
