Pre-requisite: Introduction to PeopleSoft

This course covers how departments schedule classes in PeopleSoft (PS). It is aimed at enabling all departments including certain Health Sciences departments who set up meeting patterns and use the Syllabus Plus Indicator on the system to request venues from Properties and Services.

Once the course has been completed, staff members will be able to do the following:
Understanding schedule of classes, how departments add course information to UCT's student system, how venues are allocated to courses, the course catalogue, basic data page, components, sections, meeting patterns, enrolment capacities, auto enrol and resection functions, procedures: scheduling a new course and supplementary classes, maintaining existing course information, cancelling classes, useful reports
