The University of Cape Town (UCT) Works of Art Committee is a collaborative body representing both the University Senate and Council .

Committee members
- Vice-Chancellor (ex officio)
- Vice-Chancellor nominee: Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Transformation, Student Affairs and Social Responsiveness (ex officio)
- Four persons nominated by the Senate
- A person of seniority in the History of Art, appointed by the Director of the Michaelis School of Fine Art
- Director of the Michaelis School of Fine Art, or nominee
- Director of the Institute for Creative Arts, or nominee
- Curator of the University's Collections
- Chairperson of the University's Heritage and Collections Stewardship Committee
- A person nominated by the University Building & Development Committee (UB&DC)
- Up to four students nominated by the Student Representative Council (SRC), one of whom shall be the Chair or nominee of the Michaelis SRC
The Committee may choose to co-opt persons external to the University for specific purposes, but not necessarily for the full duration of a membership term.
