Posters can be displayed across campus on any SRC or general notice board. Posters can therefore reach a very wide audience or target very specific groups that frequent specific buildings. Please note that all posters must be authorised and stamped by the SRC prior to being placed on notice boards. Failure to do this will result in the posters being removed.
Please note the following:
- Posters are permitted for a duration of two weeks on the notice boards.
- No more than 50 posters will be permitted at a time per organisation and posters may not be bigger than A2 in size.
- An application must be submitted to the SRC in advance. Please see application form below.
- The SRC must approve all posters.
- Once posters have been approved, the posters may be brought to Zola Tame, the Student Governance Assistant on level 7 of the Steve Biko Students Union Building by one person representing the organisation for stamping.
- The stamping of posters will be done on an appointment basis.
Poster Rates for external orgnaisations:

| A3 Poster | R 55.00 each |
| A2 Poster | R 90.00 each |
- All posters must abide by the UCT policies and not conflict with the vision and mission of the University.
- Poster must not be offensive or discriminative in any way; this includes having sexual imagery or consumption of alcohol;
and any involvement with cigarettes or narcotics. - Poster must not contain foul language of any sort.
- Posters must be stamped at the SRC Reception.
- The date on the stamp on every poster must be the date of the event, as the stamp indicates the date after which the poster
is to be removed. - If no event is advertised, the stamp may indicate for the poster to be up for two weeks unless otherwise indicated by the SRC
Co-operate Relations & Fundraising Co-ordinator. - The posters must be removed by the society after the event.
- All posters that do not have the SRC stamp or with a stamped date that has passed, may be removed.
- Posters may only be placed on SRC approved notice boards with either staples or drawing pins. Posters on other surfaces may be removed.
Please note the following rules in Handbook 3: General Rules and Policies

| is; or | |
| (b) Elsewhere on the campus. Has not been established, the student body issuing or originating it shall be presumed to have affixed it in contravention of this rule. |
