Welcome to the inaugural South African National Biennial Research Integrity Symposium (SANBRIS)!

The theme for this first event is "Strengthening Research Integrity and Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Across Institutions"

Who is this event for?

This event open to anyone at higher education institutions and science councils, or other research producing institutions who is interested in, or works in research integrity or ethics. It is open to administrative and academic staff, researchers, and post-graduate students.

We are happy to welcome you to the symposium if your institution is just starting its research integrity journey, and you are looking to build networks and jump start this work!

We are also happy to welcome you if you are interested in research integrity, but don’t quite know how to get involved.

What is this event about?

The inaugural SANBRIS seeks to bring together people with a stake and interest in research integrity, regardless of their role, seniority, institution or discipline.

The diverse programme demonstrates that we are interested in engaging on both academic (or theoretical) and administrative (or practical) elements of research integrity. We know that they have a mutually inclusive relationship with each domain informed by the other.

We are also aiming to create a social and networking space for colleagues across the research ecosystem to collaborate, share ideas and begin to build relationships and capacity across South Africa.
