Ms Eleni Flack-Davison
Eleni Flack-Davison, an admitted attorney of South Africa, Legal Adviser, Research Compliance Manager, Head: Office of Research Integrity and the Research Data Protection Officer at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. She is one of the founding fellows of the Wits MIND institute. Eleni is part of the SARIMA Research Management Portfolio Committee.
Eleni was a special adviser to the LOC for the 7th World Conference on Research Integrity in Cape Town. She is part of the REASA Executive Committee and heads up the Marketing and Communications sub-Committee. She has been part of the ASSAf drafting Committee in relation to the POPIA Code of Conduct for Research in South Africa.
Eleni co-founded and co-Chairs the Northern Regions Research Ethics and Integrity Community of Practice (CoP) under SARIMA and co-Chairs the Steering Committee for the CoPs for Research Ethics and Integrity. The CoP has drafted ethics guidelines and toolkit for the SADC Region in terms of the Nagoya Protocol. Eleni is part of the SARIMA Research Management Portfolio Committee. Eleni is a Certified VIRT2UE Research Integrity Trainer with the Embassy of Good science under the EU and Amsterdam UMC.
