Mrs Paula Saner

Paula Saner is the Research Integrity Manager in the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Office of Research Integrity (ORI). She holds a Master of Arts in Classics, a Master of Education in Higher Education Studies from the University of Cape Town and is a certified VIRT2UE RI trainer.

Paula coordinates the operations of the ORI and maintains relationships with key government stakeholders. She provides guidance and advice to the Senate-level Ethics Committees. She is responsible for developing, managing and facilitating UCT’s responsible conduct of research (RCR) education programme. She advises the UCT community on RI queries and works to ensure a robust a current RI policy environment.

Paula served on the Local Organising Committee for the 7th World Conference on Research Integrity (WCRI). At the 8th WCRI, she co-hosted a pre-conference workshop on leadership in RI; a symposium on the practice of RI in the Global South, and collaborated with colleagues to launch an early career researchers and professionals RI network.
