Freshers Braai 2015

The end of O-Week marks the start of an exciting period in the UCT calendar. Among the host of events that allow the 2015 Freshers to celebrate the start of their academic careers, the most famous is UCT Radio’s Freshers’ Braai. The 2015 edition will be held on Thursday (5 February) on the Green Mile, Upper Campus, from 17:00-20:00.

This year UCT Radio has invited local veterans, Reburn, and the genre-blending rising stars, Soul Sessionz. These two headliners prove that the 2015 Freshers’ Braai is not to be missed. Reburn have performed at some of the country’s biggest festivals – Rocking The Daisies, Synergy – and will be performing at the upcoming KDay, solidifying their position as one of the most popular bands in the country. Soul Sessionz is comprised of several award-winning members and first came to the attention to the UCT audience through a memorable Jammie Thursday performance. Our headliners will be accompanied by our own DJs – Mikhail Moosa, 1D and Mark Akol – who host their own shows on UCT Radio.
